Gail Buckner ‘meeting the people’ at public forums

No-shows continue for Buckner’s Republican opponent

ROSWELL - When state Rep. Gail Buckner entered Centennial High School in Roswell on Tuesday evening, she continued to hold her perfect attendance record as the only candidate for Secretary of State to attend the forum.

The candidate forum was sponsored by East Roswell Forum, the Horseshoe Bend Community Association and the Centennial High School PTSA.

Since the August 8 run-off there have been nine public forums around the state.  Buckner has frequently been the lone candidate for Secretary of State to attend.

“I feel deeply that person serving in elected office should be accessible to our citizens.  I enjoy getting to meet our citizens.  I like to shake hands and look people in the eye when I ask for their votes,” said Buckner.

In a three-person race, the Republican candidate has attended one forum and the Libertarian candidate has attended two forums.  Buckner has perfect attendance.

Buckner is seeking the office of Secretary of State because she has worked in areas relative to this division of government including professional and occupational licensing, small business, economic development and elections.  Buckner is finishing 16 years as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives and received almost 91% of the vote in her last election.

As the most experienced public servant in the race for Georgia Secretary of State, Gail Buckner will stay on the job until it gets done. For more information, visit her official web site at www.gailbuckner.com.
