Dear Supporters,

Thank you for all the hard work during this election. I am truly humbled by the outpouring of citizens who supported me throughout our great state. With 98% of the precincts counted, the 851,212 citizens who voted for me to be the next Secretary of State will always be a precious memory from this campaign.

Overall, I was outspent almost 4 - 1. Nevertheless, my campaign had a strong presence in this race. I am proud that I was able to bring to the forefront issues that are important to citizens, such as Clean and Fair Campaigns. I am honored that I was the only Secretary of State Candidate in the Southeast to be chosen as part of the Progressive Patriots because of my interest in providing citizens with an opportunity to discuss Clean and Fair Campaigns.

Thanks also to those organizations who endorsed my candidacy, including the Georgia Association of Educators, International Brotherhood of Police, AFL-CIO, IBEW and other working men and women. I am very proud to have also received the endorsement of Georgia for Democracy. Their interest in election protection, including a verifiable paper ballot and other critically important issues, made for a major statement about truth and justice when they chose to endorse me.

When one door closes another one always opens. I am looking forward to continuing to work for a better quality of life for all Georgia citizens. Thank you for being a part of our quest for good government.
